We scheduled for an introductory lesson for our 4-year-old beginning of this year. The introductory class was to see if our son could follow the instructions given, and we were surprised! He actually did what he was asked to do, so we knew that this was it. Our son is still learning when it is his turn to speak, or what is appropriate to express publicly. Mr. Mike (the current instructor), is super patient with him and always redirects him. Additionally, Ms. Wren helps at the front desk and is super helpful. She is very knowledgeable. We appreciate them all! I normally don’t write reviews, but PMA Lakeline definitely deserves the praise and credit. I also want to add that we noticed a gradual change in our son’s behavior since he started PMA! He used to say that he CAN’T do things. He wouldn’t even try and would instantly go straight to asking for help, which is fine, but we want him to try to do things himself before jumping to the conclusion that he can’t. After 4 months at PMA, we actually haven’t heard him say, “I can’t” anymore. He looks at things differently and has shown a lot of confidence. We want to thank PMA for the dedication and patience working with our son. We look forward to staying with PMA for a while and watch our son grow as he becomes his own person on his martial arts journey.

Our 2 daughters started at the Lake Oswego school over a year ago. They have since closed that location, but the patience, sincerity, and care that both Sensei Brendan and Sensei Soren instruct their students makes it totally worth the additional drive time to keep the kids enrolled. Master Von is an amazing instructor! He creates fun and learning in everything he teaches. I signed my son up back in April 2021 and he has loved every minute of his class. After watching him for a few months I decided it was my turn. So, back in September I decided to join and I have really enjoyed everything I learned in the adult class. I started my son at age 3. He is a very bright child, but lacked focus and the normal selective listening as most preschoolers have. Our first session was rough. He wouldn't listen, was hiding under the chairs, and just really overwhelmed. Sensai Soren has worked so hard with him and now with Sensai Soren and Sensai Brendan there he is thriving. He has been in almost a year now and the transformation has been phenomenal. They truly do amazing work with these kids. I highly recommend Premier Martial Arts to anyone and everyone.
